St. Mary's teen killed in car crash

A 16-year-old St. Mary's County girl was killed Monday afternoon when her car was struck from behind by another car and forced into oncoming traffic, where it was then hit by a sport-utility vehicle and then a minivan, St. Mary's sheriff's officials said Tuesday. The sheriff's office said Shelby Wood, of Leonardtown, was driving a 2003 Honda Civic south on Point Lookout Road near Leonardtown about 4 p.m. As she neared the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds, her Civic was struck from the rear by a 1996 Lincoln Town Car driven by Justin Macrae, 28, also of Leonardtown, sheriff's officials said.
