Montgomery County seeks to add Capital Bikeshare stations

Montgomery County has submitted an application for state funding to add Capital Bikeshare to the southern end of the county. That would connect Bethesda, Silver Spring and other spots with the bike-sharing system.

Capital Bikeshare increases some rates, offers new pass

Capital Bikeshare expanding in D.C.

Capital Bikeshare closed last night at 6pm, and bikes still may not be checked out. According to its safety police, the system will re-open when major roadways are salted, plowed and clear of snow and ice.

City-funded Capital Bikeshare today announced 100 anticipated locations where members will be able to pick up and drop off bicycles. Convenience and strategically-placed points will be crucial to the system, which could fill in gaps where bus, Metro and other forms of transportation are lacking or overcrowded, as well as being concentrated along thoroughfares the District has worked to make bike-friendly.
