Same-sex marriage bill remains stalled in Md. House

In statement, Alston says she is prepared to vote on same-sex marriage bill

Del. Tiffany T. Alston (D-Prince George's) issued a statement early Wednesday morning saying she is now prepared to vote on Maryland's same-sex marriage bill and will do so "based on what I believe to be right."

O'Malley administration opposes medical marijuana bill

Maryland would join 15 states and the District of Columbia in allowing marijuana use for medical purposes The health department's analysis also found that it would cost several million dollars and at least several years to set up a state program, and suggested launching a study to come up with an alternative.
