A.M. Buzz: Fed workers, iPad, potholes

Good morning. It's Wednesday and it's a big day for fans of Apple. The Cupertino-based company will show off he next generation of iPad today at 1 p.m. ET; more details below. Closer to home, efforts to legalize same-sex marriage in Maryland hit an unexpected snag on Tuesday. In D.C., officials received some good news about the budget. But at the University of Virginia, funds are desperately need to repair the Rotunda, the iconic structure which Thomas Jefferson modeled on the Pantheon in Rome.
