Steven Goff is The Post’s soccer writer. His beats include D.C. United, MLS and the international game, as well as George Mason University basketball. He has covered five World Cups, every MLS Cup since the league’s launch in 1996, and a variety of soccer events in about two dozen countries. His blog, Soccer Insider, has been a popular fixture on The Post’s Web site since 2007. Goff is a native of Keene, N.H., and a 1988 graduate of American University.
