Michael Lee has covered the Wizards and the NBA at the Washington Post since October 2004. Before coming to Washington, Lee spent more than six years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution where he covered the Hawks, Braves, colleges and high schools. He has covered two Olympics, eight NBA Finals, and one World Series. A 1998 graduate of Florida A&M University, Lee is still scarred by the Kings leaving his hometown of Kansas City, Mo., for Sacramento when he was 8. An award-winning writer, Lee was honored with the National Association of Black Journalists’ sports story of the year in 2009.
