Obama awards Teacher of the Year

President Obama presented Sarah Brown Wessling from Iowa with the 2010 National Teacher of the Year award today at a ceremony in the Rose Garden. He also supported legislative efforts to provide funding to states to keep hundreds of thousands of teachers from being laid at the end of the school year.
