Stanford has the most 'klout' on Twitter

Many colleges and universities have created a Twitter feed to share campus news with students, parents, alums, faculty, sports fans, journalists and everyone else. But is it worth the time? And what's the best measure of a Twitter feed's success? Is it number of followers, number of RT's, number of clicks on bit.ly links, number of interactions or something else?

Early admission applicants lock in on college plans

The first semester of senior year is barely over, but a growing number of high schoolers already know where they will attend college. (So instead of spending their winter break polishing college essays, they can get to know other members of the Class of 2015 on Facebook.)

GWU will soon offer gender neutral housing

Starting next fall, George Washington University in the District will allow male and female students to live in the same room or suite in nearly all of its residence halls. Dozens of colleges across the country have begun to offer gender-neutral housing, as it is called, but usually the option is only available to upperclassmen or those living in apartment-style halls.
