Glass in Virginia: two opera companies offer audiences more to love

The composer Philip Glass marked his 75th birthday last week with, among other things, the release and US premiere of his 9th symphony. But the biggest commemoration in this area comes from the Virginia Opera, which brings “Orphee” to Fairfax this coming weekend. In a recent article, I offered a brief overview of Virginia’s two, count them, opera companies.
