The most generous higher-ed donor ever?

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has given more than $800 million to alma mater Johns Hopkins University, starting with a $5 gift in 1965.

U-Va., JHU’s former presidents earned over $200,000 a year for serving on corporate boards
