New York Avenue to close Saturday so building can be moved

If you see a building moving across New York Avenue NW Saturday, it is not a mirage. The District Department of Transportation says the avenue will be closed from Sixth to Seventh streets from 5 a.m. to noon as a “historic building” is moved.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will be held in Washington on Saturday, March 17. This race, which will hit all four of the District’s quadrants, will cause street closures beginning very early on Saturday morning and continuing through Saturday afternoon.
