New PTI traffic delay index is the pit of despair for D.C. area commuters

Researchers at the Texas Transportation Institute who provide guidance on how bad congestion is getting in urban areas have come up with a new way to measure traffic pain.

The week ahead in traffic and transit

Tysons Boulevard closed this weekend

Tysons Boulevard will be closed between Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Galleria Drive overnight Friday and Saturday as crews continue work on Metrorail’s Silver Line extension.
