Use of public transit surging across the country

Last year had the highest ridership since 1956 and was the eighth consecutive year that at least 10 billion trips were taken on public transportation.

VRE approves 3 percent fare increase

Virginia Railway Express passengers will see a 3 percent fare increase in their daily tickets and monthly passes July 1 after the railway’s board formally approved the increase Friday.

Money for Metro advances in U.S. Senate
