The Federal Eye: homeless veterans

Despite a continued decline in the numbers of homeless veterans and new funding to house those still on the streets, officials said Wednesday the decrease is not yet occurring at a fast enough pace to meet the Obama administration's goal of eliminating the problem by the end of 2015.

Clothing left behind at airport security checkpoints would be turned over for distribution to homeless veterans under a bill the House passed Tuesday.
