PETA Thanksgiving billboards target children

Next to an image of a turkey’s body with a dog’s head is the blaring message: “Kids: If you wouldn’t eat your dog, why eat a turkey? Go Vegan.” Is it appropriate for PETA to gear their adult message to kids?
