Loudoun sheriff ousted; Fairfax sheriff hangs on

Sheriff Steve Simpson, running as an independent, was swept under the Republican tide by former DEA Agent Mike Chapman, while Fairfax Sheriff Stan Barry won a fourth term handily.

Fairfax sheriff candidate’s ad draws angry responses
