Montgomery defers money for second Bethesda Metro entrance to next capital spending plan

Man struck by Orange Line train in ‘serious condition’

A McLean man struck by a train at Clarendon Station Tuesday afternoon is in serious condition in a local intensive care unit, according to Metro. The incident caused hours of delays on the Orange Linge, prompting temporary closures of multiple stations and concerns about crowded conditions along the line.

Metro plans limited weekend track work

Metro: Holidays will be free of major track work

Metro plans to put the brakes on major track work around the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays. Instead, the agency said Thursday it will pursue “an aggressive schedule of rebuilding work” before the holiday season.

Major disruptions on Metro this weekend

A tough commute home for Metro riders

Delays hit several Metro lines during the commute home Friday night. Red Line riders had the double frustration of problems at Farragut North and Gallery Place, which caused packed stations and crowded trains. Problems also surfaced on the Green, Yellow and Blue lines.
