Basketball: Boys

G Patrick Holloway made the clutch plays as No. 1 Paul VI put together a remarkable 35-3 season.

POY: Jonquel Jones, R. Baptist

F Jonquel Jones was the top player on the top team, averaging 15.7 points for No. 1 Riverdale Baptist.

AOY: Champ Page, Wise

Wise senior Champ Page was the area’s preeminent long sprinter and also one of the top in the nation.

AOY: Felecia Majors, South County

South County junior Felecia Majors was one of the area’s most versatile athletes.

SOY: Jack Conger, Good Counsel

Good Counsel junior Jack Conger repeats as All-Met Swimmer of the Year after another sterling season.

SOY: Janet Hu, Oakton

Sophomore Janet Hu led Oakton to its first Virginia AAA title by dominating several different events.

WOY: Kyle Snyder, Nathan Kraisser

Good Counsel’s Kyle Snyder and Centennial’s Nathan Kraisser dominated their respective weight classes.

POY: P.J. McNamara, G'town Prep

G P.J. McNamara boasted a .918 save percentage as Georgetown Prep won the IAC regular season title.

The Post honors the area’s best high school athletes in baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track and field, rowing, golf and gymnastics.

At 5 feet 7, Aquille Carr of Baltimore’s Patterson High is one of the top guards in the country and a YouTube sensation.

Westfield’s Darby Nelson is an All-Met rower and CrossFit workout enthusiast. She’s also 160 pounds of muscle, and very comfortable in her own skin.
