A sign in the door announces the temporary closure of the Apple store in Boston, Massachusetts October 19, 2011. Apple Inc closed U.S. retail stores for several hours on Wednesday so employees could watch a simulcast of a company-wide celebration of co-founder Steve Jobs' life, which was being held at an outdoor amphitheatre at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, a person familiar with the celebration said. Apple Inc. co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs died October 5 at the age of 56, after a years-long and highly public battle with cancer and other health issues.
