So heres the question: Is Woods that much better than his competitors than the Golden Bear was...or are the competitors not as good as they used to be? It seems to me that if golf is like everything else these days, its actually more competitive than ever which makes Woods just that much more impressive.

Tiger Woods is my hero not because of the way he is mastering the sport of golf but because of his focus and dedication and zeal to always get better. Its impressive and suprisingly simple...keep trying every day to be just a little better knowing youll never get there but trying with all youve got every single day. Wow.

Missing is the oops from the media who sold papers and airtime not long ago by talking about the possible fall of Woods. Now that it was clearly a time of mourning, and a short one...the giants of commentary cant find enough superlatives and worshipful phrases. Back and forth, back and forth, and I have yet to read any compelling insight that embraces the full path of the man. We love our heroes, except when they fail. Then we love to dethrone them. Up and down, up and down. Wouldnt it be swell if we could all just be men?

THE ONE THING TIGER HAS THAT MOST, IF NOT ALL OTHER GOLFERS DO NOT HAVE, IS THE ABILITY TO FOCUS ON THE TASK AT HAND. EVERY HOLE IS PLAYED AS IF IT IS UNIQUE, REQUIRING HIS UNIQUE APPROACH. TIGER WILL WIN 100 TORNAMENTS AND 30 MAJORS BEFORE HE IS THROUGH. WHAT A GUY!

I am so proud of this young man. It was a pleasure to watch him stay focused and determined to achieve his goal: to win and play his best. GO TIGER!!

This young man is truly a credit to his profession. It make me proud just seeing him work with some of the best professional Golfers this world has ever seen. Now looking at the players of yesterday, these men were represented the best. Jack was such an outstanding player in his day and so were many others but todays golfers bring to the table a different set of requirements to face. Todays golfers are better trained, better prepared and have better tools to help him accomplish their dream. GO TIGER!!!

Tiger is simply the most dominant player of his era. And he may be the best player to ever the play the game, time will tell. And, of course, he is just hitting his prime.

What is interesting about Tiger is what is not interesting about Tiger. I am an Afro-American who first rooted for Tiger because he was a minority who was being refused the right to fully participate in the great sport of golf based upon his minority status. Golf has shown its greatness by, however grudgingly, opening its arms to minorities thus removing this stigma from the sport. I love rooting for Tiger more than ever because of his accomplishments. Tiger has shown and is displaying the essence of Dr. Martin Luther King’s pronouncement when he said that he saw a future when a man or woman would be judge by the content of their character not the color of their skin. Tiger is an inspiration to many people of all races and creed. He is an inspiration because of what is not interesting about him. Tiger is succeeding in life as a man, not a black man, not an Asian man but as a colorless man and I love him for that. Jim Rush

We should enjoy and appreciate Tiger Woods as long as he can competitively swing a golf club. When his career is over, I doubt we will see his like again. I expect his record book will be a lot like Babe Ruths. When the Babe retired, he held every significant record in baseball. He even held pitching records in the World Series that stood for decades. When Tiger is done--and hes a long way from his golfing obituary being written--he will own every golf record there is to own and will be inarguably the best golfer ever. Lets enjoy the next decades of what I hope will be a long career. Well not see his like in our lifetime again. Tom Murrell Columbus, Ohio USA

I realize that Woods Is Younger To Dozen Majors With Easy Victory doesnt have the zing of the actual subtitle. But since only two have even reached the 12-majors summit, isnt the superlative youngest incorrect and shouldnt it have been replaced by the comparative younger?

When sports writers talk about other greats while trying to compare the fantastic Tiger Woods, they always mention those considered extremely dominant sports figures with incredible records of achievement. Invariably, however, they fail to mention Edwin Moses. It is always tough to compare one type of sport to another, but if we are going to do so e.g., Joe Lewis, Ruth, Armstrong, Ali, Jim Brown, Jordon, etc. I think Moses should be very high, if not first on any list. Granted, track is not a sport with the allure of football, basketball boxing and the like, but just take a look at what he did and how long he absolutely ruled his event. ASt least lets give him his due and include him among the other all-time dominating athletes of our day

I am from the Philippines and a lover of sports. I intentionally wake up early morning hours 2 oclock a.m. Philippine time - PGA Championship just to see Tiger Woods play. Observing his facial expression, he looks very focused and determined, as if saying to himself, let us get it over and done with, certainly, always to his advantage at the end of the day. I forsee that TIGER WOODS will break other golfing records and at the shortest possible opportunity. Thank you and my personal CONGRATULATIONS to TIGER WOODS - the GOLFER CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS!!!
