Kuseldavids comment is so on track it scares me. Either the attack he mentions at the end of page one or a terrorist attack on US soil will be the October surprise. People will forget that Bush has failed to keep us safe and will once again fall for his swagger without substance. Perhaps hes told our enemies to Bring It On one time too many.

The Republicans have beaten themselves with slanderous campaign ads,the lies about the war, and the true pocketbook isssues- gas prices, the burden of the federal debt per capita and the lack of growth in wages. Congress has been in lock step with Bush to their travail.

If war is too important to be left in the hands of the military, then, governance is much too important a matter to be left to party-bound politicians. Its time the indies make the decision. wink

. . fieldmice says , upgrade the officer corp for sure , What we need to upgrade is your education level. Officer corps is spelled with an s. No child left behind? Well, maybe one. . Now to the point... Dems predict winning 45 seats in the house and 7 in the senate. Webb will win by 14 percent. Reps should pull their names off the ballots and go home. No possible way they can hold either house. Allen is done. . Seems I remember Presidents Gore and Kerry saying the same thing. PS: Since all the Inds vote Dem, Lamont should begin picking drapes to match his senate portrait.

Americans may regret voting out the Republicans on the basis of the state of the war in Iraq. American soldiers would have died in vain and their efforts to bring democracy to the Iraqi people blemished. The American economy and other local issues should not blind them to a more important factor - the threat of international terrorism! To vote for the Democrats at this time would mean that the enemy have succeeded by proxy, and it may be seen by Americas friends that she does not have the nerve to stick it out when things get rough.

Talk about absolute bias in methodology and results reporting aside from gender control. Question Number 10 asks respondents for major issues. Immigration – presumably illegal - is clearly one of the top five among GWT, Econ, Health Care and Iraq. Immigration out ranks Ethics in Gov. Yet, when the poll asks for individual ratings on each issue in Question 15, Immigration - presumably illegal - is eliminated and replaced by Ethics and North Korea. This is flagrant bias. Once again, the WP and ABC prove the media and polls in general aren’t worth the ink it takes to publish the results. I am an independent and may indeed change my vote to all Republican for no other reason than the WP trying to sway voters with leftist garbage and biased reports like this. They can’t even bring themselves to properly label ILLEGAL Immigration as a major issue. For most of us, it is. Quick, WP – sweep it under the carpet or better yet, don’t talk about it at all unless its with a liberal pro amnesty slant. The truth is the WP like Reid and Kennedy do not want to talk about a $1 Trillon Dollar bill paid for by the middle class and 100 million new illegal citizens over the next 10 years. 10. Which of the following will be/was the SINGLE MOST important issue in your vote for Congress this year: the U.S campaign against terrorism, the war in Iraq, the economy, immigration, ethics in government, health care or something else? 15. Which political party, the Democrats or the Republicans, do you trust to do a better job handling ITEM?

SOME DAY WE WILL HAVE A STUDY DONE ON WHY THE LIBERAL PRESS IS LIBERAL, AND ON WHY THEY SIDE SO BLATANLY WITH THE DEMOCRATS. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO UNRAVEL THIS MYSTERY. NOT ALL THE PRESS IS LIBERAL AND NOT ALL SIDE WITH THE DEMOCRATS. MY CONSIDERATION AND OBSERVATION IS THAT, LIKE HOLLYWOOD, THEY SEEM TO THINK THAT TAKING FOR GRANTED THAT THE DEMOCRATS ARE FOR THE LITTLE GUY, THEY SHOULD TOO. IT IS THE THING TO DO. THEYLL BE POPULAR THAT WAY. THE MYTH GOES AS FAR AS THE EXERCISE OF THE ZORRO SYNDROME WHERE EVERYTHING IN LIFE SHOULD END PEACEFULLY AND HAPPILLY....LIKE THE MOVIE. BUT THE MAIN CONCERN I HAVE IS THAT THEY ARE GETTING CLOSER TO SOCIALISM. YES SOCIALISM. AND THE INTERESTING PART IS THAT UNDER SOCIALISM, ONLY ONE NEWSPAPER IS THE VOICE OF THE SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT. SO IN A WAY THEY ARE COMMITTING SUICIDE, LITTLE BY LITTLE. SOCIALISTS, OR LEFTISTS AS THE DEMOCRATS AND LIBERAL PRESS ARE NOW ARE MORE INTERESTED IN DISTRIBUTION THAN PRODUCTION AND WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO DISTRIBUTE, THEY GO AND THROW ROCKS AT OUR OWN GOVERFNMENT, LIKE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES. COULD SOMEBODY EXPLAIN WHY THIS HAPPENS...?.

I heard the republicans are running a commerical in Tennessee accusing Harold Ford of dating white woman, now we all know that interracial marraige and dating is illegal in Tennessee. Meanwhile Karl Rove is dusting of the old Willie Horton commericals stored in the Senator Allens Mercedes Benz. Allen asks Karl I thought the coon tapes are under the macaca tapes no Karl replies no they under the pedophile contingency tapes.

The Washington Post is embarassing themselves when they write articles like this. Instead they should just write everyday on the front page, We are a democratic owned and operated newspaper and we want to win cause Republicans are mean to us. Writing anything about polls or poll numbers is purely fictious when being reported by CBS, the Washington Post, NY Times, or ABC. Please remember CBS is still reporting that Kerry won Ohio in 2004, even though he lost by 125,000 votes. Lets see what the election holds, personally I dont see Democrats winning as much as they would like to believe or what democrat news agencies are reporting.

I have a kick, yes a kick out of the numerous writers on these section that continue to say probably they believe it, or repeat it from others that the economy is in shambles. Should I state here that it is contrary to reality, or still they wont admit it, or dont want to see it, or only under the Democrats whatever an econmy they come up with, would be the real Economy...?. Never in the last 50 years unemployment has been so low the stock market has never been over 12,000 Medicare and Social Security are working in spite of constant criticism construction of new homes never been so high...Only on territory dominated by the Democrats Louisiana, N. Orleans, etc. you can see the dependency on governement programs and the poverty spread by that dependency Remember Katrina..?. If the Democrats win in subsequent years due to the ignorance of voters, or the hatred towards Bush fed by the liberal Press the results will be a comeback to the Welfare State, and the shrinking of the economy as have taken place in the past.

The one thing Democrats and Repbulicans can agree on is that white surpremacy is a myth given the past performances of Clinton and Bush. Colin Powell should have been the President and America would have been the better.

Dow 12,000! My company/s stock soared when I fired half my workforce and sent their jobs overseas! My investments are all doing very well, thank-you! Why don/t the voting rabble appreciate the heckuva job the GOP is doing?

Bush has no plan for people to believe in. His plan in Iraq and Afghanistan is 70 Americans killer per month forever. That is not a plan to believe in. Defeating Iran, rebuilding our army, surrounding Pakistan to make it give up its nukes and bin Laden and link to our troops in Afghanistan is a plan. This has meaning. Bush needs to understand that pictures from Iraq have a meaning of no plan by him. Bush has to have a plan that makes sense, a step by step process that gets us somewhere. Without a plan that makes sense, people have nothing to vote for. Bush only offers death. People vote against just dying.

Friends, dont forget the third-party and independent candidates! Some Bush Democrats like Melissa Bean, IL-8th have voted with the Republicans on every issue railed against here -- from the Iraq war, to the assault on our Constitution and the loss of our civil liberties. When faced with this kind of Democrat against a Republican, support the third choice. Otherwise, all your words are just partisan swill.
