Thousands Protest Bush Policy

A raucous and colorful multitude of protesters, led by some of the aging activists of the past, staged a series of rallies and a march on the Capitol yesterday to demand that the United States end its war in Iraq.

Bush and Cheney are the true terrorists. They should both meet the same fate as Hussein.

The event is expected to draw groups of many stripes. The chart for the assembly site shows sections reserved for veterans and labor, gay and peace organizations, in addition to others dedicated to opposing global warming, nuclear arms and torture and a group called End Israeli Occupation of Palestine. In addition, at least one group is protesting the protest. this is why the republican attach machine always wins - they are better organized.

How do we get the percentage of Christians in the US down to zero, or less?

OKAY WORLD. THIS IS DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN FULL BLOOM. THIS EVENT IS WHY SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI WAS TREATED WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. THIS EVENT ENSURES THAT CHECKS AND BALANCES ARE IN FULL EFFECT. FURTHERMORE SAID CHECKS AND BALANCES CAN AND WILL HELP TAKE A BITE OUT OF CRIME!!! IT IS A BEAUTIFUL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT BUT ONLY WHEN ITS CITIZENS GET INVOVLED. YOU ALL KNOW THE PROMISE OF DEMOCRACY IS THAT THE PEOPLE WILL GET THE GOVERNMENT THAT THEY DESERVE. I DO BELIEVE THAT WE THE PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO THINK WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED. STAY TUNED FOR MORE. SAME BAT STATION MAYBE A DIFFERENT BAT CHANNEL. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Same old tired blame america crowd...the liberals just dont get it...the Islamic extremists intend on killing all of us, conservative or liberal...the difference is liberals will try to reason with these unreasonable nuts, and conservatives will fight back to kill the extremists. How come these demonstrators were not protesting when our embassies in Africa were bombed by the extremists, killing hundreds? how come they wernt out on the Mall with their signs when Hussein gassed 6000 innocent Kurds?...where were they when 3000 innocent people were slaughtered on 9-11? It seems they only show up when they can put down the USA. They all need to move over to France and protest...

The iraq study group has not had any influence on this administration and I doubt this demonstration will have any.

quote from michaelgsimms How come these demonstrators were not protesting when our embassies in Africa were bombed by the extremists, killing hundreds? how come they wernt out on the Mall with their signs when Hussein gassed 6000 innocent Kurds? Protesters were there. Where were you? In response, one can only effectively petition their own govt. Foreign govts could care less what a non-tax paying, non-voting public could say. That being said, its good to see typical conservative talking points from the last century havent lost their popular use, despite the fact that the old paradigm of global unconciousness is heading out the door.

The pro-war crowd needs to remember it ws the US who suuported Hussien openly against the Iranians not so long ago. It was Bush 41 who left the Kurds to die by Saddams will. Now Bush 43 invades a country based on well known lies. This has nothing to do with terrorism or 9-11. It has nothing to do with Iran, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, democracy or freedom. It has everything to do with one small minded man wanting revenge. Anyone who believes otherwise needs to wake up.

Speaking out for peace is not treason! Our soldiers and marines deserve better leadership than they have had since the invasion of Iraq. They are not allowed to speak out, so it is our duty to speak for them.

How did it go? Was Fonda wearing her most treasured burka? Did Danny Glover bring some of his favorite wives? Did Susan Sarandons eyes finally pop out, bounce of her big boobies, and go bouncing off the stage?
