Statement from the Presidents office on September 29th, 2003: The President has set high standards, the highest of standards for people in his administration. Hes made it very clear to people in his administration that he expects them to adhere to the highest standards of conduct. If anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration.

Question for the president: Can you give the Medal of Freedom at the same time you pardon Libby? Fitzgerald for Prez!!

So, what is next? Anything meaningful would happen in this saga? Seems like all this will be lost in the hype of 2008 elections.

Hopefully now journalist of all stripes will not stumble forward willynilly reporting on unsubstantaited stories and innuendo disguised as spin perpetrated by this administration. Just the facts. The truth is what we want and not lip service to what is possibly the worst admistration and presidency this nation will ever see.

Be assured that *W* and DICKY, in their infinite and massive arrogance, do not see it this way. I am truly astounded by these two jerks. I also truly despise both of them. But, I wish them long lives after their eight years of screwing up worse than any other regime in the history of the U.S. Their legacy is going to be OH-SO-LOW!!!!!!! Let their pain begin.

There is a long line at the White House bathroom of people waiting to change their shorts.

Youre damn right that these administration officials have seen their reputations tainted by the war. Oh how bad I feel for Dick Cheney to have his otherwise impeccable record tainted by the Iraq War! Poor man!

Its not so much a presidency as it is a mockery of everything that freedom-loving Americans hold dear. Litte things like the right to privacy, the right of habeas corpus, the right not to have to live under a dictatorship, freedon from torture, checks-and-balances guaranteed by the Constitution, someone in office who actually upholds the Constitution rather than trying to negate it with signing statements..stuff like that...

Cheyney is often viewed by people as being a tough guy, even though he appears to be a physical coward. Hiding in a secret bunker from the *trrrorists* when your the VP of the most powerful nation on the planet is embarassing. Fitzgerald is the tough guy. He is the rightous avenger. And Comey can also take a bow.

I am not a lawyer but from a lay man point of view, I believe Mr. Libby is the scape-goat in this whole trial. There are three main criminals who should have gone to prison. They are Mr. Cheney, the main character, Mr. Bush, and Mr.Rove, the genius of misinformation. If I were Mr. Libby, Id have spilled my entire gut before any prison time. Thanks

Watching Libbys demeanor after the verdict, I cannot understand why he still posed a smile in his face. I am beginning to suspect that Bush is going to pull a Ford ala Iran-Contra pardon, eh? Probably he was promised by his boss not to worry, just be happy.

As chief of staff for the Vice President it is extremely unlikely that Libby acted without consulting his boss Vice President Cheney. Is it possible that the Vice President could not testify on Libbys behalf, without either commiting perjury, or incriminating himself? Allen Albrecht Pacifica, CA.

Now its time to bring the rest of the Bush Crime-Family to justice for lying us into an unjust war. How many more of our troops will die or be forced into the Concentration Camp-like surroundings of our Military healthcare system? Our nation holds its collective head in shame for what have brought upon ourselves. Particularly the religious conservatives, who claim the mantle of God, should beg for forgiveness. For George W. Bush is the Great Deceiver the bible talks about and has done great irreparable harm to our nation. I pity the children as they will pay the largest price for this administrations lies and obfuscations.
