Here are the announced summer schedules of most Washington area concert venues, large and small. Details aren't locked up for other anticipated shows; read Weekend to keep posted. For popular performers at places such as Wolf Trap, Nissan Pavilion, MCI Center and Merriweather Post Pavilion, order your tickets as early as you can (some concerts are already sold out); for free shows, just show up unless otherwise noted here. But always call first -- plans and programs can and do change. Most free outdoor events are canceled or rescheduled when rain threatens; most paid shows go on rain or shine.
