Born and raised in the D.C. suburbs, Alex Baldinger is a graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. He arrived at the Washington Post in 2005 and has been a writer for the Weekend section and Going Out Guide since 2008. Alex has written about long-distance relationships, politicians on Facebook, the area’s ugliest buildings and numerous bars, restaurants and artistic performances.
