She worked previously for The New York Times and the Boston Globe, where she began covering national politics in 1998. She is the author of “Notes from the Cracked Ceiling: Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, and What It Will Take for a Woman to Win,” which explores female candidates’ historic role in the 2008 presidential campaign.
