VRE delays cleared; I-270 South lanes blocked

New York Ave. Bridge closure on Saturday could lead to major headaches

New York Avenue NE will be closed between Florida Avenue and Penn Street on Saturday from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. This will likely lead to severe delays, so avoid the area if possible.

Alexandria begins road work on Route 1 near Potomac Yard

This is part of work being done on a transit corridor meant to eventually connect the Pentagon City and Braddock Road Metro stations.

BWI starts offering free Wi-Fi

Laurel Bowie Road reopens in Laurel; I-95 South lane blocked south of Beltway

Laurel Bowie Road was closed for much of the morning commute due to an accident, but it has reopened. Watch for lingering delays in Laurel.

Virginia announces final deal on I-95 express lanes

Construction of the high-occupancy vehicle lanes on I-95 is scheduled to start very soon and be done around the end of 2014.
