Subdivision plans near Fredericksburg battlefield concern preservationists

The Civil War Trust has written to Fredericksburg’s mayor asking her and the city council to oppose a proposed housing development on a busy street leading to the park entrance.

Virginia, North Carolina battlefields receive NPS land purchase grants

In Virginia, the matching grants are earmarked for Clarke County’s Cool Springs Battlefield and Chesterfield County’s Ware Bottom Church Battlefield.
