Loudoun’s Bernie Madoff and her love shack

Loudoun’s Linda Tribby swiped $14 million from some of her customers at Wachovia Bank. She had a good time spending it, and the feds still can’t find $8 million.

Loudoun Summer Music Fest shuts down for 2011

By Tom Jackman, Sure, it’s just a big flat pasture along Route 7, but the Loudoun Summer Music Fest was a great place to see a concert, and they are not going to do it this year. The show we saw last summer, the “Dukes of September, ” featuring Michael McDonald, Donald Fagen and Boz Scaggs, with Steely Dan’s band backing them up, playing great soul tunes, was phenomenal. The organizers tell the Loudoun Times they may try again next year, and there may still be some shows at the site, which is the Belmont Country Club in Ashburn. Weather and the economy were to blame. Here’s the story.  |  08:37 PM ET, 04/03/2011 |  Permalink  |  Comments ( 0)
