Update: The chat is going on now. Please join in.

Looking for an opportunity to directly question a member of Congress? Here’s your chance: Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), the co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, will host a livechat with readers at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The chat, the first of The Post’s new weekly series “Congress Calls,” will be entirely reader-powered. From the economy to the wars, Grijalva will answer questions about any topic (as long as it meets our sitewide discussion guidelines, of course).

So we’re asking you to post your question in the comments below. Then you and everyone else can vote for the best question by clicking “recommend” under the comments.

Grijalva will answer the question that has been recommended the most (he will also answer many other reader questions, of course).

Important note: To either post a comment or vote, you have to log in as a commenter using the button just under the words “Weigh In” below.

We look forward to seeing your questions and hope you’ll join us for the chat at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

(Also, don’t forget to help us select the next participant in “Congress Calls” by voting for who you want to chat with here.)
