Senators, Hoyer to hold news conference urging supercommittee to “go big” (Live video, tweets)

A bi-partisan group of members of the House and Senate will hold a 10:30 a.m. ET news conference Wednesday to urge the debt “supercommittee” to make an even bigger dent in the federal deficit than the $1.2 trillion reduction it’s required to make.

Sens. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), Mike Simpson (R-Idaho), Mark Warner (D-Va.) and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md) are among the attendees. None of them are members of the supercommittee.
