Obama jumps into March Madness with NCAA picks

President Obama went boring on his NCAA picks this week, selecting all four No. 1 seeds in his bracket.

In an interview with ESPN, Obama said Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, and Pittsburgh would make the Final Four and Kansas would win, “just because I think they’re deeper.”

Filling out the brackets has become an annual tradition for Obama, who was interviewed by ESPN’s Andy Katz. He used the interview also to encourage Americans to donate to charities to help people in Japan.

The interview is striking in again showing the depth of Obama’s love of basketball. In the midst of several major crises, he seems to find time to watch lots of hoops or at least highlights of the games.
