Angry Birds franchise launches cookbook

(Confessionsofacookbookqueen.com)
Angry Birds fans have spent millions of hours helping their feathered friends recapture eggs from fat green pigs, and now Roviothe gaming company responsible for this obsessive pastimeis banking on the idea that said eggs are just as fun to cook as they are to protect.

Rovio’s head of marketing, Peter Vesterbacka, announced at this week’s Open Mobile Summit in London that the Angry Birds franchise will launch an egg-centric family cookbook and corresponding mobile app, according to Mashable.com.

Whether or not this egg thing takes off, a quick Flickr search proves that the game does, in fact, inspire some pretty innovative recipes. (Angry Bird rice balls anyone?) Check out our photo gallery of Angry Birds edibles, and submit your own creations.

And while iPhone game-turned-cookbook ranks pretty high on the random scale, we’re not quite sure if this is the dumbest recipe collection we’ve heard of. Some other standouts include: “Cookin’ with Coolio,” “Wookiee Cookies: A Star Wars Cookbook,” “The Fart Without Fear Cookbook” and “Fabulicious!: Teresa’s Italian Family Cookbook”. What do you think?
