Farmers Market Roundup: Oct. 25-31

I know the little kitchen garden on my patio won’t last much longer. The mint has long since stopped looking healthy, and it’s only a matter of time until the tomato and pepper plants give up the ghost.

Thankfully, things are just getting going for the underground crops. I’m not growing any, but I look forward to picking some up at the farmers market. This week’s root vegetable offerings include rutabaga, parsnips, turnips, radishes, carrots and sweet potatoes. You can find them at most of the markets in today’s roundup.
