At Thursday’s FreshFarm Market by the White House, Fertile Plains Custom Pork will have country ham sandwiches; Spring Valley Farm and Orchard will have strawberries; Soupergirl will have creamless cream of asparagus soup and black bean, apricot and ginger soup; Clear Spring Creamery will have fresh cream, whole milk and chocolate milk; Garden Path Farm will have fresh chicken.
At Friday’s Smart Market in Centreville, Tyson Farm will have strawberries; Jose’s Produce will have lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli and sugarsnap peas; Cavanna Pasta will have porcini and artichoke raviolis, five varieties of cut pasta and sausage tortellini.
At Saturday’s Smart Market in Oakton, Tyson Farm will have strawberries.
At Saturday’s FreshFarm Market in Silver Spring, Spring Valley Farm and Orchard will have broccoli and strawberries.
At Saturday’s H Street NE FreshFarm Market, Richfield Farm will have strawberries, spinach, asparagus and rhubarb; Blueberry Hill will have lettuce and green garlic; both Atwater’s Bakery and Copper Pot Food Co. will have asparagus soup.
At Saturday’s FreshFarm Market in Bethesda, Sunset Valley Farm will have yellow butter from grass-fed cows; Spring Gap Mountain Creamery will have aged raw-milk tomme.
At Saturdays 14th & U Farmers Market, Pecan Meadow will have pastured lamb and milk-fed goat, goose and duck and chicken eggs, grass-fed and -finished beef.. Whisked! will have sweet and savory handpies, molasses spice cookies, white spice pound cake; Truck Patch Farms will have strawberries, pastured pork and beef, asparagus, herbs, eggs, chives and mint; Kuhn Orchards will have freshly pressed, cider made from pink lady, Goldrush, Granny Smith, Stayman and York apples blended, dried Fuji apples, asparagus and rhubarb; McCleaf’s Orchards will have tender purple asparagus and green asparagus; Mountain View Farm will have sugar snap peas, baby beets, greens, salads and lots of plants; Garner’s Produce will have strawberries, asparagus, kale, daikon, bok choy, purple and white turnips, and vitamin greens. At Saturday’s Mount Pleasant Farmers Market, Earth Spring Farm will have French breakfast radishes, scallions, edible bouquets and Amish cheese; Pleasant Pops will have rhubarb frozen pops; Truck Patch Farms will have small, intensely sweet strawberries; Richfield Farm has the reddest rhubarb in town; Groff’s Content Farm has a new batch of chickens (whole and in parts).
At Sunday’s Takoma Park Farmers Market, North Mountain Pastures will have pastured pork, chicken and turkeys, and grass-fed lamb and beef along with nitrite-free cured meats and fermented vegetables and eggs; Calvert’s Gift Farm will have certified organic arugula, spring mix, pea shoots, carrots, spinach, scallions and chard; Blue Ridge Botanicals will have tomatoes, spinach, arugula, lettuces, cat grass, woodruff, nasturtiums, morning glory vines and coconut creeping thyme; Gunpowder Bison and Trading Co. will have bison steaks, roasts and burgers; Waterpenny Farm will have plants for the garden including tomato and pepper varieties.
At Sunday’s FreshFarm Market in Dupont Circle, the Farm at Sunnyside will have organic carrots; New Morning Farm will have pullet eggs.
At Sunday’s Bloomingdale Farmers Market, North Mountain Pastures will have guanciale, lonzino and prosciutto, pastured chicken and eggs, pickled vegetables and three kinds of bacon, including Italian tesa; Painted Hand Farm will have Pennsylvania-farmed rainbow trout smoked with apple and hickory, dog treats, goat, bratwurst and rose veal; Keswick Creamery will have feta cheese, cheddars and yogurt; Copper Pot will have gnocchi, ham parmesan tortellini, milk-fed goat tortellini, ravioli, truffle and cheese tortellini, spinach dip and meatballs; SnowBear Farm will have Simpson’s lettuce, broccoli rabe, parsnips, kohlrabi, baby collards, radishes, mustards, kales, garlic chives and scallions; Truck Patch Farms will have early-glow strawberries, asparagus, beets, eggs and pastured pork and beef; Dolcezza will have strawberry-tarragon gelato and strawberry gelato; Garner’s Produce will have asparagus, strawberries, greens, turnips, beets, kales and Swiss chard; Reid’s Orchard will have Fuji apples, jams and fruit butters.
At Sunday’s Smart Market in Gainesville, the Flour Shoppe Bakery will have European-style breads; Betty’s Chips and Salsa will have salsas and hand-made tortilla chips;
At Tuesday’s Smart Market in Fairfax Corner, Heritage Farm and Kitchen will have salads; the Flour Shoppe Bakery will have European-style breads.
At Tuesday’s FreshFarm Market in Crystal City, Barajas Produce will have garlic and English peas ( $4.50 per quart) sugar snap peas ($2.50 per pint), chioggia beets and white beets for ($2 per bunch); Coulter Farms will have Swiss cheese ($8 per pound); Richfield Farm will have frisee ( $3 per head).
At Wednesday’s FreshFarm Market in Foggy Bottom, Chris’ Marketplace will have smoked bluefish dip.
At Wednesday’s Health & Human Services FreshFarm Market, Garner’s Produce will have sugar snap peas, strawberries and asparagus; Quarter Branch Farm will have beets.
