Super Bowl recipes: A chicken wing smorgasbord

Chicken wings are a mainstay of any good football watch-party. To appease hungry guests this year, or be the MVP of your Super Bowl bash, try one of these tasty wing sauces or marinades from our Recipe Finder.

Hands-Down Best Chicken Wings (Dayna Smith/For The Washington Post)

Ceiba Honey Chicken Wings: Adapted from a recipe by former Ceiba chef Victor Albisu, hot peppers blend with honey and pineapple juice for a complex, syrupy sauce.

Grilled Orange-Chipotle Chicken Wings: The chicken needs to marinate for several hours in this sauce of orange juice, adobo and chili peppers.

Hands-Down Best Chicken Wings: The trick for this preparation is allowing hot air to circulate around the wings so they are crispy all over.

Indian Chicken Wings: This spicy mixture calls for turmeric, cumin, coriander and chat masala, which can be found at Indian markets.

La Brea Tar Pit Chicken Wings: A staff favorite, these wings are baked in red wine and soy sauce.

North Carolina Barbecued Chicken Wings: Like the state’s legendary barbecue, these wings are doused in vinegar and red pepper flakes.

Peppery Chicken Wings: Black pepper, allspice, cayenne and paprika are the main ingredients in this simple wing coating.
