Will "The Chew" taste any better with a second helping? We’ll find out.
(Tim Carman/The Washington Post)
The premiere episode of “The Chew”didn’t merit any stars. It failed to pass the sniff test. It burnt the toast. It was deader than fine dining. It stunk more than durian on a hot subway car. The culinary metaphors to depict the show’s opening-day dreadfulness are practically endless.
Bottom line: The critics hacked up their bite of “The Chew.” So will Day 2 be any better? We at AWCE Central thought it would be a good time to find out — on a day when most critics will be focused on the next program to skewer. Join along as Food Editor Joe Yonan, Deputy Editor Bonnie Benwick and I live Tweet the sophomore effort of “The Chew” crew.
We’ll be Tweeting to the hashtag #postchew. We’re sharpening our knives as we speak. The show airs at 1 p.m., Eastern time, on ABC.
