A Common Core math quiz. See how you do.

As the Common Core State Standards are being implemented in most states and the District, new aligned tests are being designed for students to start taking next year. Right now, millions of students around the country are taking field tests on these exams, and by many accounts, the questions are a lot more difficult than those on previous standardized tests given for accountability purposes.

How much more difficult? Take our quiz by clicking here.

The quick quiz we’ve put together is a sampling of questions from the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, one of the two multi-state consortia designing new standardized tests with federal funds. These questions are on PARCC’s website, where you can find more. You can also see questions from the other multi-state consortia, the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium.

You can take the quiz by clicking here. Note that the questions were selected from different grades. After you answer each question, the result will tell you what grade level the question applies to, and whether your answer makes that grade.
