The Embassy of the Czech Republic is set to present the oral history project helmed by and in cooperation with the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, “Recording Voices and Documenting Memories,” on Thursday, March 24 at 6:30 pm at the Embassy of the Czech Republic. The two-year project is focused on finding and retaining the histories of both Czechs and Slovaks who departed home during the Cold War years for the cities of Chicago, Cleveland, and Washington DC. The five participants in the project, who now reside in the DC area, will participate in a panel discussion after the event concludes.
