The Corcoran Gallery of Art has made the decision to close its doors at 3 p.m. on Aug. 27, due to the pending inclement weather. The Gallery will remain closed on Sun. Aug. 28. Incoming students of the Corcoran College of Art + Design who are planning to move in to their dorms, located in Foggy Bottom, will still be permitted to do so from 10:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. Orientation activities for the weekend are being rescheduled. Classes for the College of Art + Design are still set to begin Wed. Aug. 31, says Melanie Kimmelman, public relations coordinator at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
The Gallery, which is closed Mondays and Tuesdays as a rule, will open on schedule at 10 a.m. on Aug. 31.
