Donald A. Brown and Ann Brown, longtime Washington civic leaders and supporters of the arts, have donated $2 million to the Palm Beach Dramaworks.

Donald Brown is well known in Washington’s legal and business sectors. For over 50 years he has been a real estate attorney and real estate entrepreneur. Ann Brown is a former chairman of the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission and former vice president of the Consumer Federation of America.

They have supported the Washington National Opera and the National Symphony Orchestra. In addition to Washington, the Browns also live in Palm Beach Gardens.

Dramaworks, a regional nonprofit theatre, has just completed the renovation of an old theater in West Palm Beach and it will officially open November 11. The new theater will be named for the Browns.
