Back for the Broadway run are Bernadette Peters, Jan Maxwell, Danny Burstein and Ron Raines.

The acclaimed James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim play about aging showgirls getting together for a reunion, is directed by Eric Schaeffer. Schaeffer was the artistic director of the Kennedy Center’s Sondheim Celebration and is the co-founder and artistic director of Signature Theatre.

The New York previews start August 7 with opening night set for September 12.

In its original incarnation in the 1970s “Follies” won 7 Tony Awards. It was a sell-out at the Kennedy Center this Spring.
