Arlo Guthrie, Woody’s son and keeper of the flame, will also be on the bill as will Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Ry Cooder, Ani DiFranco, Ry Cooder, the Del McCoury Band with Tim O’Brien, Jimmy LaFave and Tom Morello. The multi-generational reach of Guthrie’s music is evidenced by the inclusion of younger groups including the Old Crow Medicine Show and the Dropkick Murphys. Joel Rafael and Rob Wasserman complete the line-up.

The Kennedy Center is producing the concert in tandem with the GRAMMY Museum and Woody Guthrie Publications.

The Kennedy Center also announced that it will present The Legacy of Bob Marley, a tribute to the Jamaican reggae giant, on June 23, 2013. The Guthrie and Marley concerts are part of the Center’s “Songs of Conscience” concert series.
