The Kennedy Center
is providing temporary shelter for overheated Washingtonians during the month of August by introducing their Millennium Stage Happy Hour Series, starting Aug. 1. There will be drink specials provided starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests will have room to dance and cool off while listening to the performers, including Brazilian performer Badi Assad and New Orleans native Mia Borders. The event will be held in The Kennedy Center Atrium on Aug. 1, 8, 22, and 29 and will move to the Grand Foyer Aug. 15.
