Merry Christmas Baby: Christmas Song Countdown

To celebrate the season, Arts Post has compiled a list of our blog staff’s favorite Christmas songs.

Bruce Springsteen performs a wicked and pulsating “Merry Christmas Baby.” The video below shows the unmistakable work of Clarence Clemons, one of the music greats who died in 2011.

Also The Boss had a story in Tuesday’s Washington Post, his introduction to the new book, “Someplace Like America: Tales From the New Great Depression.”

That’s a collaboration between Columbia journalism professor Dale Maharidge and prize-winning Post photographer Michael S. Williamson.

Previously, Angelique Kidjo did “O Holy Night.”

Judy Collins sang “Silver Bells.”

Johnny Mathis did “Sleigh Ride.”

David Bowie and Bing Crosby sang “The Little Drummer Boy.”
