Neil Diamond: Kennedy Center Honors Watch

Neil Diamond Alert: The countless tribute bands and frenzied fans can mark their calendars now.

On December 6 Columbia/Legacy Records is releasing 23 hits from the singer’s studio recordings.

“The Very Best of Neil Diamond-The Original Studio Recordings” starts with “Forever in Blue Jeans,” recorded in 1978. Other hits include “Cherry, Cherry,” “Sweet Caroline,” “I’m a Believer,” “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon” and “Solitary Man.”

Diamond will be toasted the first weekend of December, along with Meryl Streep, Yo-Yo Ma, Barbara Cook and Sonny Rollins.
