Sonny Rollins: Kennedy Center Honors Watch

Sonny Rollins, one of the 2011 Kennedy Center Honorees, was interviewed Tuesday night on the PBS Newshour.

The segment follows. Sitting with correspondent Jeffrey Brown, Rollins discusses Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Charlie Parker. Rollins says in his lifetime he is still aiming to be on a level with those musical icons.

Rollins will be honored this weekend in Washington with Meryl Streep, Neil Diamond, Barbara Cook and Yo-Yo Ma.
