Thanksgiving 2011: Where are all the holiday songs?

Besides Adam Sandler’s classic “Thanksgiving Song” there are few songs celebrating the November holiday. Christmas, of course, has a wide variety of tunes dedicated to it — from carols to jingles and everything in between.

Plus, Black Friday seems to be slowly taking over Thanksgiving. It’s apparent the holiday isn’t getting the love it once did.

Let’s give the holiday a much-deserved boost. Tell us what your Thanksgiving song would be: change a word in a song title or swap out lyrics from a popular song to create your own Thanksgiving tune. Here’s a few suggestions to get you going:

“Love You Like a Wishbone,” Selena Gomez

“Yoü and Pie,” Lady Gaga

“Always Something There to Re-Brine Me,” Naked Eyes

You can also tweet your Thanksgiving song using the hashtag #thanksgivingsongs. We’ll collect the best responses below.
