Virgin Mobile FreeFest: It got loud

It ended with a bang. A lot of bangs, really.

The two acts that headlined opposing stages at this year’s Virgin Mobile FreeFest at Merriweather Post Pavilion couldn’t have been more different.

But they each brought the noise.

On one stage was Jack White, a man gone solo after the break-up of his White Stripes, conjuring a righteous racket from his guitar. On another stage was Skrillex, the dubstep phenom whose dance tracks sound like a sci-fi star fleet opening fire.

We’ll have full coverage from FreeFest tomorrow. For now, which festival act was your favorite? Cast a vote in the comments.
