Update: Thanks to commenter, D404, who posted the following critique:

I think I would have moved the assassination of the ex-president of Afghanistan and the warning to Pakistan above the fold, and dropped the DADT story and photo below. Also, I don’t think I would have used the article “a” in a headline.
